Tower Six Way Relay Boxes are now supplied with Amphenol connectors.
The Tower Mounted Six Way Antenna Relay provides a solution where a remote, wired antenna relay is desired to conserve on coaxial transmission lines. The Tower Six Way uses the same high performance printed circuit board as the original Six Way, mounted in a dripproof die cast aluminum box with all seven SO-239 fittings pointing down for convenience of connection. An aluminum bracket and U-bolt are provided.
(Please note that in actual practice, the unit would be mounted with all fittings oriented downward. The photograph shows the bottom side of the relay box.)
The Tower Six Way is the only commercially available remote coax switch with a position for each of the six contest bands.
The Six Way Relay Box uses 12 Vdc relays mounted on a stripline printed circuit board which, combined with short leads to the SO-239 connectors, provides excellent RF performance. One of our customers, Peter, VE3PN, measured the performance of a Six Way Relay Box that he purchased, and provided the following plots of isolation and insertion loss versus frequency. This independent test verifies the ratings given below. The files are in Adobe Acrobat .PDF format, and are about 200K each. Double click on the title to download the file.
