The Radio Society of Okinawa is a nonprofit organization devoted to the advancement and pursuit of amateur radio. The club boasts a regular membership of more than 20 American and Japanese licensed "hams" from the civilian and military communities throughout the island. R.S.O. members are actively involved in various areas of amateur radio operation to include SAREX/ARISS, VHF/HF Packet(144.680), Satellite, CW, M.A.R.S., Emergency Message Traffic Nets, and 2 Meter/HF "Ragchewing". We meet every Saturday morning for an eyeball QSO at Kadena AFB NCO Rocker Club at 0830 JST. The first Saturday breakfast is a general club meeting. The R.S.O. call frequency is 145.660 Mhz, Encode/Decode 71.9.
