11-12-05....Hi Q 4inch -4-80 Now installed!!
And boy do I like it. I had the 2.5 and it was good but this is better. Somewhat expensive but I believe worth it if you do lots of mobil like I did last year. This year is "tentative" gas and other things entering into the situation. I tried to show the new antenna but as you can see the picture on the last post didnt come out. Im gonna try again, and I cant get that one off!! Dont know how... Need to study this blogging thing more!! Turning fall here and we may finally get a real cold front next week they say. I guess Im ready , all antennas are set for now. Now do some indoor trading , swapping and selling. No plans for a hamfest til spring...I will add to this later. I happen to have a 4Runner too and I am in the process of trying to go mobile for the first time and I want details! What is that metal base attached to? The trailer hitch? Also, did you do all the recommended strapping, doors, hood, tailpipe and all that stuff? Did you or do you have any hash noise? Not the kind caused by alternator or spark plugs, just good ole garden variety hash. I don't think it is the fuel pump either.
Oh, one more question, do you know W5GNG?
