New Stuff CCD Base Ant, and Hi Q Stealth Mobile....

Well, Ive completly finished my Hi Q stealth antennna. Thats DX engineering "Hot Rodz" on top of an 18" lift that comes with em. Works as well as old stainless cut out with much less wind resistance. My wife confirms that its "really stupid looking" so I must have a good one. It certainly seems to work well for such a small coil, only 2.5 inches. Have the W4RT antenna Boss on it and its awesome. Push a button and you are there, no shunt changing with the coil mentioned below. DONE> OH! The 7 or 8" long piece of metal at the bottom, is a solid piece of aluminum I used to raise the coil to where I wanted it. VERY SOLID.
I have my 40 meter CCD operating daily and I continue to be impressed with it ON 40 and 20/17. I have asked Dave, AI 7R to build me a shortened 80 meter to see if it works. If it does, then Im gonna try to tie the two together some how. I believe, this is gonna prove to be about the best wire you can get on average lots in the city. The 40 meter one gained almost 2 S units over my 40 delta loop and it was good!!!...
A few days of great weather before more rain tomorrow and maybe thru the weekend. Hopefully Ill get the 80 meter CCD going in the next few days. Listen for me in the amm around 9:30 on 7.249 or 2Pm same place...at nites its 3.870... Using a Metron MA 1000 amp at about 600 watts out now on base but I will probalby sell it, if you want one , let me know. I even have remote for it. 73 for now...Murray K5MDM
